چکیده
The objective of this work was to evaluate the ability CCC as an adsorbent material for acidity removal RFO, aiming at application oil in biodiesel production. For that, a RCCD used FFA by applying and CAC comparative purposes. In assays effect Temperature, Agitation Mass factors were assessed over oil. Under best conditions from RCCD, evaluation adsorption kinetics performed, wherein it observed equilibrium reached within 4 h, CCC. Also, influence dosage performed. It verified that g sufficient allow system reach maximum removal. Overall, presented results approximately twice high than those obtained CAC, mainly due pore size distribution which led “molecular sieving effect” adsorbent. allowed major diffusion molecules inside its narrow-distributed pores, whereas with wider (up 260 Å) resulted larger competition active sites porous structure. adsorbents’ characterization also evidenced higher content oxygenated groups surface acted potential resulting enhanced adsorbent-adsorbate affinity. Lastly, wastes generated experiments, evaluated their calorific power value 31,933 J g-1, suggesting could be further energetic purposes, such solid fuel boilers furnaces generate thermal energy. Based on these results, stands out promising RFO

Residual frying oil in the diets of sheep: intake, digestibility, nitrogen balance and ruminal parameters
OBJECTIVE The objective of this study was to evaluate the intake and nutrient digestibility, nitrogen balance and ruminal ammonia nitrogen in lambs of diets containing different levels of residual frying oil. METHODS Levels of 0, 20, 40, 60, and 80 g/kg dry matter (DM) base of residual frying oil in the diets of lambs were evaluated. Five castrated lambs with initial body weights of 36.8±3.3 ...
متن کاملMicrofluidic Assessment of Frying Oil Degradation
Monitoring the quality of frying oil is important for the health of consumers. This paper reports a microfluidic technique for rapidly quantifying the degradation of frying oil. The microfluidic device generates monodispersed water-in-oil droplets and exploits viscosity and interfacial tension changes of frying oil samples over their frying/degradation process. The measured parameters were corr...

Background: The oxidation of unsaturated lipids by free radicals is one of the main causes of food deterioration. The major purpose of the present study was to determine effectiveness of application of honey in order to reduce oxidation in soybean oil. Methods: Six groups were designed, including control (soybean oil emulsion without preservative), positive control (butylated hydroxyl toluene ...
